On June 1, construction on the first test facility for Thorizon’s molten salt reactor (MSR) in the Brabant region officially started. This marks an important milestone in the development of innovative nuclear technology that is widely seen as a promising step toward stable, reliable and clean energy in Europe. The kick-off event at the High Tech Campus Eindhoven brought together key representatives from government and industry, including European Commissioner Wopke Hoekstra and State Secretary for Climate and Green Growth Jo-Annes de Bat.

From June 17 to 19, 2026, Demcon high-tech systems will be present at the SEMI 3D & Systems Summit in Dresden, Germany. This summit brings together semiconductor packaging leaders to explore the strategies and technologies driving next-generation heterogeneous systems integration.

From May 19-21, 2026, the quantum ecosystem gathers at B Amsterdam for Quantum Meets, organized by Quantum Delta NL. Demcon high-tech systems will be attending Quantum Meets on May 20.

The quantum industry is developing rapidly. New startups are emerging, and scale-ups are growing, particularly around Delft, the Netherlands. Internationally, there’s also growing interest in quantum computing, quantum sensing, and quantum communication. Given the complexity of the technology, the transition from prototype to product is a significant one. Demcon encounters this challenge with increasing frequency. The company has been working on high-tech systems for semiconductors, big science, and aerospace for decades, and uses this solid foundation to help quantum teams take the next step toward industrialization.

On 20–22 April, we will visit the Advanced Packaging International conference in Brussels, Belgium. The event focuses on advanced packaging technologies that enable the next generation of semiconductor and photonics systems. The conference brings together multiple technology domains, including Co-Packaged Optics and Thermocompression/Hybrid Bonding.
