Demcon high-tech systems has been selected for Lot 4 in UKAEA’s Design & Build Framework, part of the Fusion Futures program. This selection follows our previous selections for Lot 2 and 3 within the new UKAEA Framework. This framework supports the development of future fusion technologies by engaging industry partners across design, engineering, prototyping and digital systems. This is now the third UKAEA framework in which Demcon participates, alongside the Engineering Design Services and Embedded Engineering Resource frameworks.
About
ZIE brings together current technological developments that shape the future of industry in South Holland, with attention to domains such as high tech systems, aerospace, machine building, and advanced manufacturing. Topics including hydrogen technology, robotics, optics, artificial intelligence, data science, and semicon are central to both the exhibition floor and the knowledge program.
At Demcon high-tech systems we operate across these fields, supporting the development of complex, multidisciplinary systems that translate advanced technology into robust and scalable applications.
The challenges we solve
Across the following markets, our expertise in mechatronics and optics & vision enables accurate motion, stable system behavior, and high precision measurement and inspection in complex high tech systems.
Energy transition
We engineer and integrate systems that support the development of sustainable energy technologies, from early concepts to validated prototypes. Our work includes system architecting, mechanical and thermal modelling, and digital and control solutions for applications such as fusion energy and hydrogen-related systems.Semicon
We design high precision modules and machines for semiconductor production and metrology, where nanometer level accuracy, stability, and repeatability are essential. Our expertise spans positioning systems, motion control, thermal management, and system integration across the full development cycle.
Aerospace
For aerospace applications, we develop advanced opto mechanical and control systems for space observation, laser communication, and sustainable aviation. These systems operate under demanding precision, environmental, and reliability requirements.
